The Platform
Forge Neural Cortex
A local-first AI coding assistant that runs on your hardware, keeps your code on your machine, and wraps any LLM backend — Ollama, OpenAI, or Anthropic — with enterprise-grade security, adversarial testing, and fleet management.

What It Is

Forge Neural Cortex is the core platform. It sits between you and any large language model, adding 9 layers of security (the Forge Crucible), behavioral testing (Trident Protocol + Forge Parallax), and a cryptographic audit trail to every interaction. Your code never leaves your machine. Your prompts never hit a third-party server. The AI runs locally on your GPU.

Why It Matters

Most AI coding tools route your prompts and code through external servers — GitHub Copilot sends to Azure, Cursor sends to their backend, ChatGPT processes on OpenAI's infrastructure. Forge is different: local inference means your code stays on your machine. HIPAA-compliant healthcare organizations, classified defense contractors, and any company that takes IP seriously can use AI coding assistance without compromising their security posture.

Architecture

60 slash commands, 28 registered tools, 9 security layers, 161 adversarial scenarios (483 test vectors via Trident Protocol), 30-probe behavioral fingerprinting, Ed25519-signed audit trails, and a plugin system with event bus. 77,000+ lines of source code, battle-tested on real production codebases.

Key Capabilities

  • Multi-model routing — automatically selects the right model for each task
  • Context management — intelligent swap and summarization, no silent truncation
  • Self-healing AI (AMI) — detects and recovers from model failures automatically
  • Tool system — 28 tools for file I/O, shell, search, browser, and code analysis
  • Fleet management — master/puppet architecture for teams
  • Genome system — accumulated model intelligence that gets smarter across sessions
  • XP system — gamified developer progression with achievements
